Quilted Bordered Cushion

£5.00

Quilting changes the surface texture, so the fabric is made richer and more robust –  as true for a fine silk as for crewel work, denim, chintz, poplin, tweed, pinstriped flannel etc.  It reflects the light in a new way, so that every quilted fabric becomes more sumptuous than it was before. It becomes warmer – the quilting layer of wool or polyester adds a new thermal quality. And creases disappear as if by magic- or rather they just don’t happen – the more quilted, the less creasing.

Quilted bordered Cushion

We’ve made these time and again because they are robust and they make any fabric more robust; by the quilting they don’t show creases.

They are easy if you’ve made a thing or two  before. None of the processes is in itself complicated, the instructions are simple, so as long as you follow them carefully you’ll gain a great cushion.

The pdf includes: fabric suggestions; cutting dimensions; simple and precise instructions; clear illustrations; our tips, guides and watchpoints.

Fabric: any – from lightweight  silks for a bedroom to tough denims for children and exterior fabrics for a life outside. We used a hand stitched crewel in wool on a cotton base which is inherently beautiful and translates to any environment. If you like this one check out our store, we often have it in stock. By the nature of the product the colours vary slightly and stock fluctuates.
