Heart Doorstops and Hand Warmers

Little hearts make useful stops  to prevent doors or windows slamming closed in a breeze.

Fill them with a mixture of spices, herbs and wheat grain or cedar shavings and hang them over the bath taps or coat hangers – they’ll smell lovely wherever they are, soften the bath water and keep moth away.

As paper weights they just look pretty, they’re soft and malleable, they won’t break and they can be just hang up out of the way when not wanted. And they make really lovely gifts.

For hotties, warm them up by popping them into the oven or microwave, by leaving them close to an open fire, or sit them on top of a range or log burner.

So versatile – for bath, wardrobe, coat cupboard and drawer herb sachets, moth sachets, paperweights, doorstops, hand hotties.

None of the processes is complicated, the instructions are simple and it’s small enough to make on the kitchen table, to pick up and put down, take your time over it, and enjoy the process…
