Refers to three species related to the wild goat that produce cashmere (the Himalayan Tahr, Nilgiri Tahr and Arabian Tahr). The Himalayan tahr is quite large, with a shaggy coat and curved horns, well-adapted to live in rocky terrain and high altitudes of the mountain wilderness.
