The Bread Bag

This pattern is for more than bread bag, it makes storage bags for everything from the odd socks to the remote controls and charging gubbins.

These  bags can be made in any size you choose and put together totally by hand or part hand sewn and part machine sewn. For the beginner – it won’t matter if it’s not spot on first time, or even second time – just enjoy making them, using them and looking at them.  Practice makes perfect !

The pdf contains: fabric suggestions; cutting dimensions for lined and unlined bags in 2 sizes; simple and precise instructions.

Fabric:  we used a strip of hemp from a vintage sheet and a traditional French stripe copied by Nicole Fabre. Ian  Mankin have similar stripes on-line.

The table cloth is an Indian kantha, handmade from waste materials and so each is unique. Check our our page for current stock.
