‘Medium weight’ covers the middle ground and the majority of furnishing textiles – those that can be used for curtains, covers, cushions, drapes, beds, and upholstery. Really anything that is neither sheer nor very heavy can be described as medium weight. . Most cottons, linens and wools, chintz, towelling, wool, flannel and melton, denim, corduroy, matka silk, velvet, linen union… are medium weight fabrics.
