A printmaking technique in which linoleum is used as the relief surface–either side can easily be carved with a craft knife. The linocut is inked with a roller and pressed onto paper or fabric, either manually or mechanically. Print makers use linocuts in a highly skilled and mature way, but even children can produce simple designs with which to print their own fabrics.
