From the eponymous Irish county, woven cloth with mixed country coloured fibres creating a mottled effect. Donegal tweed is traditionally quite coarse and very hardwearing, used for hunting jackets and outdoor wear. Finer weaves with lighter patterns are also woven to make really lovely, subtle toned curtains, covers, wall coverings and furnishings.
