The timber lining of a door opening – being the head and jambs into which the door fits, that are rebated to include the door stops. These are pre-formed and suitable for internal doors and doors that are newly constructed.

For older doors and traditional build, door linings are sectional, they  do the same job, provide fixing for the door and cover the wall or structure onto  which the door fits, however the sectional mature means that they can be shaped, planed, formed to fit any shape or structure.
