A twisted, un-cut fringe mostly used for the skirts of chairs and sofas; also for curtain, cushion and pelmet edgings. Bullion can be made to any depth, usually approx. 7- 30cms but commissioned to any size – the deepest we’ve used was 45cms for a deep pelmet, and weight. Being looped rather than cut it stays in place and is generally heavier, used to add gravitas and weight.

Bullion can look good dressing the edges of curtains and the hems of pelmets  – the watchpoint is to check that the bullion weight won’t pull the fabric out of shape.
