Description
Side Buttoned Cushion
One up from the basic scatter cushion – this time with a row of buttons along one side. They look great and add a new dimension – even when as subtle as these. Easy to make if you’ve made a scatter cushion and buttonholes before; there’s nothing complicated about it, you just need to decide whether to stitch the buttonholes by hand or by machine. Or if you like the look and have some fabric you’re dying to use but can’t bear the thought of buttonholes, you can always cheat by stitching false buttons through.None of the processes is in itself complicated, the instructions are simple and it’s small enough to make on the kitchen table, so it’s possible to pick it up and put it down, take your time over it, and enjoy the process…..
