This is the same as  Point de Venise

A Venetian needle lace from the 17thC similar to guipure, with scrolling floral patterns with additional floral design worked in relief and often cobnected or finished with picots or thickened threads, and called variously Gros point, rose point, Point de neige, Point plat and Burano. From 1872 until the early 20thC a lace school was established on the island of Burano in the Venetian lagoon, that responded to renewed interest in lace over this period.
