A finely woven, lightweight silk taffeta with a crisp texture and sound, and a hand that, to a large degree, holds itself in place. It’s a joy to work with: when it’s scrunched up, it holds it’s shape, and being silk it comes in the most incredible colours, appearing ethereal as the light shines through. An elegant, up-market, chic fabric, which also works in a shabby chic environment, it has the same general use as ordinary taffeta: use for puffballs, dressing tables, light curtains and blinds, boudoirs and feminine furnishings. And then for formal rooms when the need is for a light window dressing with the element of je ne sais quoi and luxury that only silk can bring to the party.
