Hunting is a way of life and for many tribal cultures the sole means of survival, providing food and materials for clothing and home making

1. A way of life, which by-product provides us with hides, skins, horn and bone for use in clothing and furnishing.

2. Any tweed or woven fabric in muted colourings to blend in with the countryside

3. Fabric designed and printed with hunting and associated motifs

4. A variation of any clan tartan, such as ‘Hunting Stewart’ that is woven in muted colourings. These are lesser known, to my mind more beautiful and useable than many or the stronger plaids, rarely shown in a furnishings pattern book although often in stock – just ask, and you’ll see how lovely they can be.
