Dhurries laid out for sale at our weavers home in Rajasthan, India.
A thick, flat, woven covering made in cotton, wool, jute or silk woven in various parts of India and Pakistan on either a vertical or a horizontal loom. They traditionally serve as portable floor coverings, as meditation rugs, and sometimes as tablecloths. They are now made in almost any size and exported for area rugs.
