The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing at Amber, just outside Jaipur, is a dazzling treasure trove of information, textiles and living techniques within a gem of a building. It is the result of the Braken-Singh familly’s passion for restoration, collecting and reviving traditional materials and methods.
When visiting, allow yourself at least half a day to wander, to read and to learn, and try your hand at block printing before heading for the on site café for welcome cool drink or local chai.
