Cross Stitched Border Cushion

£5.00

Bordered cushions look good and the border helps the cushion to stay in place – something basic scatter cushions aren’t that good at.

The border can be modest, no more than a detail, or very deep, lavish even, minimally or highly decorated.

Description

Bordered Cushion

It’s easy to make  if you’ve made a thing or two  before; there’s nothing complicated about it, the instructions are simple, so as long as you follow them carefully, you’ll gain a perfect cushion.  There isn’t even a zip to put in !

The pdf includes: fabric suggestions; cutting dimensions; simple and precise instructions; our tips, guides and watchpoints.

Fabric: any fabric of  any weight to suit your planned space – spot muslin works as well as a heavy tweed, but  avoid anything slippery unless you have good experience with satins, silks etc. We used a DMC embroidery; Anchor or fine crochet thread work as well, just choose the best colour for you.

Level: experienced amateur plus – this isn’t complicated but some experience is needed with holding fabrics together, with precision and with embroidery.
