We’d picked up wo pieces of Welsh tapestry materials and a couple of Liberty print cushions for a quick coffee in the sun just outside our studio and workshop.
Double sided woven fabric with a thickness that at first glance looks like stitched needlepoint / tapestry work. The limited range of colours and simple recognizable traditional designs show reverse pattern on their opposite sides – to make double face fabrics
The designs, in geometric forms that range from subtle to very striking, work well on their own, simply showcased against wood and paint, or amongst all manner of plains and florals; they can be equally well interpreted in cottage and contemporary interiors.
