A thin, sheer, plain weave cotton that is heavily starched and similar to a gauze-like muslin, it is generally unbleached but may be available in various colours; it’s used for stiffening and underlining in tailoring and dress making.

As with all fabrics, it can be used in furnishings as long as it is suited for purpose, here as blinds, upholstered screens, even cushions and curtains.
