To use sheets  and sheeting for furnishings makes perfect sense- the fabrics are already tried and tested for heavy wear, they are easy to use, come in a range of good colours and are relatively inexpensive–as such, they have solved many a problem for us over the years.

As large pieces of plain, pre-washed and readily available ‘off the shelf’ fabric, we have used sheets for curtains, curtain linings, tablecloths, upholstery backings, cushion backs, cushion linings, and for platform. We have a stock standby of linen and metis sheeting by the metre–2.8 metres wide, in a three neutrals and in changing seasonal colours for making curtains, lampshades, bedding and bedcovers, and for making all soft furnishings.
