From the shape of the puffed up fungus and perhaps the inflated puffer fish. Taking inspiration from the fullness of puffball dresses and bringing it to the world of interiors can bring a touch of fun tor tablecloths and lampshades, pelmets and dining chair covers.

To make your own, you will need to cut your face fabric overlong and very full. Pleat or gather the lower edge and attach to the lining, staying true to the form of the object you are covering. Then pull up the lining from inside, so that the face fabric bags out theatrically. Secure both fabrics at the top in a waistband type hem for a lampshade, or sewn together with a retaining or decorative stitch for a tablecloth
