A silvery-white element that is malleable and often alloyed with copper and zinc. Nickel plated fittings are sometimes a softer and more friendly design option. They can be matter, brushed,or shiny and polished, always in a very attractive greyish silver. Softer in appearance than chrome, reflective without being obtrusive, nickel is a very accommodating material for a designer.
Nickel fittings offer good alternative to polished or unpolished brass or harsh black ironmongery in period homes and classic decoration, yet also very well suited to contemporary styles and colourings.
