A glasswork company founded in 1967 in Torrington, Devon, England, by the Dartington Hall Trust as a solution to rising unemployment in the region. The glass-blowers were tutored in the art of crystal making by an imported team of Swedish, and later European artisans, producing globally recognised quality design-led pieces. Today it still produces hand-made crystal tableware, remaining Britain’s only such factory.
