Camel bags are hung from the camel seats, and there are typical of northern India; always wooden or upholstered structures that fit over  the hump. The camel driver usually walks.

These are bags used by nomadic tribes and desert travellers in many different shapes and sizes to carry anything from water bottles to a complete tent. Camel bags are joyous multi-coloured textiles that, when we find them for sale, usually alongside rugs, we snap up to use for cushions and upholstery. We try to work with their sizes and shapes rather than cutting into them–even when there is damage we repair what we can, the colours and designs just work so well as they are.
